Altertrade is committed to the holistic development of marginalized producers through ensuring viability of its business activities that create surplus to finance its social development programs.  It endeavors to develop and strengthen rural enterprises as catalyst to community development while at the same time meeting the needs of the market. 

 

Altertrade pursues to establish Real Food Movement by the producers and consumers as alternative to prevailing destructive development platform, policies and practices of conventional agriculture and trade to reinforce the resiliency and sustainability of the small holder farmers; protect life and Mother Earth; and ensure food security, safety and sovereignty.

 

Altertrade work towards strengthening and expanding solidarity relations with people to people and fair trade partners and networks along food security and sovereignty movement.
